The secret is to accept yourself and your present circumstances, as is, just now. This doesn't mean that you don't want to improve your life or achieve more than you already have. It just means that you need to accept that this is the way things are right now. You need to feel happy now and not postpone your happiness for some time in the future, when you have achieved your desires. True, lasting happiness comes from within, not from material items.
We pursue happiness, and we have been making efforts to live a happy life! Referring to happiness, people have defined it in various ways. Some people believe that richness is equal to happiness; some people think that the more friends you have, the happier your life will be; and the like. In my opinion, happiness is simple. Perhaps you can keep happy and relaxed with the following four tips. Go to have a try, and you will find it easy to achieve.
Have a dream.
A person without any dreams or beliefs will easily lose his way. He would never know what he is doing for at this moment and what he is going to make in the future. Confusedly, he is unlikely to live happily. Therefore, when you are in the pursuit of happiness, the fist thing you have to consider is to have a dream!
Be kind to others.
Kindness is a generosity of spirit. When we are willing to help others without expecting anything in return, we are on the way to happiness. Be kind to others, and you will realize that how beautiful the world is and how happy life is!
Go shopping with friends.
Sometimes, when you feel tired of the heavy workload or the boring life, you can go to do shopping with your friends. As reported, most women have a high mood when shopping. Thus, you could do shopping with friends sometimes, just for a happy life. You can buy a piece of jewelry, a fashion bag, or anything else you can afford to enjoy yourself.
Smile to yourself everyday!
Some people say that, "When you are happy, you would smile". However, to my point of view, when you smile, you would be happy! Smile always brings us a relaxed mind! Never forget to smile to yourself everyday. The first thing you should do is to stand in front of the mirror and smile, as soon as you get up in the morning.
To sum up, only you have the absolute power to determine your happiness and to achieve it! From now on, please try to enjoy your happy life and have a good time always. You may find that on some days you just need one or more inspiring sayings to lift your spirits. You can turn to the words of Anne Frank who wrote: "Think of all the beauty that is still left in and around you and be happy."

Or you can use the wise words of Democritus who believed that happiness is not found in gaining material possessions but is something that is found deep within the soul in order to help you develop a deep, spiritual understanding of what being happy means. You can also use quotations to enhance your journal writing and to cause you to reflect deeply about your life and your overall state of contentment. Whenever you feel your mood starting to shift into a slight depression or you feel too stressed out to handle daily situations, you can read and reflect on quotes about being happy so that you can immediately shift your state of mind to things more positive.
