1. Don't get upset with yourself over mistakes - If you eat poorly, get back on your diet tomorrow. It is okay to indulge because without being able to eat what you want you will eventually go crazy. If you have a craving for your favorite food, it is okay to eat it sometimes, other times you must fight that craving. But don't ever get down on yourself for one mistake. Your workout career is long lasting and one mistake doesn't characterize the whole thing.
2. Take a "you" day - It's okay to just go to the gym and swim, or maybe do a little less cardio than normal if you are feeling burnt out. The point here is that it's better to do less today, and continue working out for the week than to kill yourself one or two days and not want to go for the rest of the week.
3. Plan active activities -- Instead of going to the gym get some friends together and play basketball. Or go find a nature area and walk around/explore the area. There are many things that you can do actively that don't require you to hit the gym. This is also a good way to stay fresh because incorporating your workout into your free time activities will make sure you won't get too burned out.
